What is ripplefold style drapery?
Ripplefold drapery, a simple and elegant style, is highly sought after by interior designers and architects. They glide easily along the custom tracks. Ripple fold panels are always custom made to seamlessly cover the desired width. They are usually constructed with 1.7 - 2.2 times the fabric of the coverage width.
Our ripple fold style is made in 100% fullness by default. For other fullness options, please make the selection accordingly.
How to measure for ripplefold curtains?
- For the width:
We have made the process simple. Measure the total width you would like to cover and fill in the width and length in our ripple fold custom page. When you are ordering, there is no need to add additional fabric to create fullness because our panels will have built-in fullness.
If you have the window width and you would like to know how wide the rod should be in order to clear the windows when the drapes are fully open. You can use our rod width calculator.
- For the height:
For ceiling mount, if you are looking for the just-above-the-floor look (most popular), measure the distance from the ceiling to the floor then subtract 1.5" (1.0" for track clearance + 0.5" for floor clearance).
For wall mount, the wall bracket is 2.5" in height.
If you are looking for the puddling look, add 2”-6” to the ceiling/wall bracket to floor length.
A single layer ripplefold drape will take about 4.25" - 4.5" in depth depending on the fabric thickness. For a double layer ripplefold setup, the drapes will take up 8.5"-9" in depth.
